The idea for AID-DRONES emerged after a humanitarian mission I joined in Chaguarpamba, a remote region in southern Ecuador devastated by landslides. I hiked for hours through mud and destroyed roads to reach families who had lost everything, including their homes and loved ones. As we delivered supplies, I was moved by their gratitude—but what truly stayed with me was the question: how could we reach those still trapped in isolation? That moment sparked the vision for AID-DRONES. I realized that drone technology could be used not just for innovation, but for impact—delivering food, medicine, and hope to places where roads can’t reach. What began as an idea inspired by empathy and necessity has grown into a project that aims to transform how humanitarian aid is delivered in Ecuador and beyond.
